vegan cookbooks I love

Cookbooks can be tricky. I can’t tell you how many times I’ve picked up a cookbook that looks promising, only to find that the recipes are unimpressive, or they require so many unique ingredients it requires more time and effort than I’m willing to put into cooking. These days I usually get cookbooks from the library before I commit to buying them. This way I can take time to read through the cookbook and make a few recipes before I take the plunge and buy it.

Here are some of my favorite vegan cookbooks.  If you have others that you love that aren’t listed here, please leave a comment below. I’d love to know what vegan cookbooks you recommend.

  1. I love Isa and Mark Bittman! I don’t own any of Isa’s cookbooks, but I would love to someday soon! I made the quinoa-quinoa cornbread from Bryant Terry’s Vegan Soul Kitchen cookbook, so I think that’s definitely worth a look…if you like soul food 🙂 Also, Vegan a la Mode sounds amazing!!
